Members of Cymru X meet with BMA Wales

Bethan Jenkins, Anthony Richards and Nerys Evans of Cymru X met with BMA's Welsh Secretary Richard Lewis and John Jenkins. They met to discuss Cymru X's health policies and to discuss working with BMA Wales on future initiatives.

BMA Wales got in touch with Cymru X and asked for a meeting to discuss our policies and to listen to what we believe are the health priorities for Wales. The meeting was very useful to find out what work the BMA does in Wales.

At the meeting we discussed-

-The ambulance service in Wales and the review which is taking place of the service as a result of the recent vote in the Assembly.

-Eating Disorders and the provision available for young people in Wales.

-Re- structuring of health service provision in Wales and the issues surrounding centralising many services.

- Our views on the need to recruit more students from Wales to study medicine in Wales so that they will stay to work in the Country after graduating.

We hope to work closely with BMA Wales in the near future.
