Protest against the war in Iraq 3/6/06

Cardiff School Students Against the War organise a protest outside the Army Recruitment Centre

Bethan Jenkins Cymru X Organiser spoke at the rally on Saturday, drawing attention to the fact that Britain should no longer keep troops in Iraq. There was over 30 people present at the protest, many of whom were school students who want to make their voices heard in opposition to the war.Bethan Jenkins emphasised the fact that there should be a United Nations headed force sent to Iraq as the coalition forces are adding to the problems that exist in Iraq currently. Many soldiers from Wales have died in the war, and this should not be allowed to continue. New Labour insist upon keeping troops in Iraq even though thousands of innocent people are dying every day. Tony Blair cannot admit that he has made a mistake in sending troops to Iraq. If this situation continues, this could be Bush and Blair's Vietnam, and their legacy.
