The party’s programme of engagement has consisted of an interactive website www.www2007.info; policy commissions in Health, the Economy and the Welsh language; house and open meetings across Wales; a national roadshow; and a national policy awards competition for young people.
Mr Jones said:
“This tour of Wales marks the culmination of our very successful programme of engagement. Right from the start of this process we have aimed to place the people of Wales at the heart of our work as we build towards the forthcoming National Assembly elections. As a result we are confident that our policy programme for the elections will be the one that best matches the aspirations of the people of Wales.”
Mr Jones further commented:
"The engagement programme has been about moving outside the institutionalised world of politics, and I can’t wait to begin the walk and to meet the people of Wales and stakeholders directly in their communities.”
“Plaids politics is all about building a better Wales. Our message to the people of Wales is clear, we are your party – work with us and together we can move our country forward.”
